“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

On February 17, 2026 at 10am, I will begin my attempt to break the world record for the longest time playing the violin. This moment has been over a year in the making.

I am making this faith move as an act of worship to the Lord and as an opportunity to further propagate the Gospel globally. Worship has the power to draw people out of darkness. Through this attempt, my prayer is that Jesus would be glorified, the Gospel would be shared across the world, faith would be strengthened, and awareness and support would be brought to Christian missionaries who are being persecuted in Nigeria.

I invite you to pray with me and my team, believing that through Christ, light will shine where it is needed most.

FAQs

  • This record attempt matters first as an expression of my devotion to Jesus Christ, and second as an opportunity to point people to the Solution that worship and the Christian faith offer to anyone walking through a dark season.

The timing of this attempt is intentional. I feel clearly led by the Holy Spirit, and by God’s grace, the spiritual preparation was laid long before the physical work began.

  • I believe God wants people to see that worship has the power to draw people out of darkness and into the light of Christ. This attempt is meant to demonstrate that faith can be lived out publicly and that worship is not confined to church walls.

  • Physically, endurance will be a major challenge. While I am not naturally a gym person, physical fitness is an important part of this attempt. I am working with a trainer to prepare my body, including central nervous system training, to meet the demands of this endurance assignment.

Mentally and logistically, there is the challenge of ensuring that every Guinness World Records requirement is met precisely. This requires trust in God, in my planning team, and in the volunteers supporting the effort.

Musically, the challenge is preparing a setlist that does not repeat while also remaining open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Once I commit to something, I am resolved to see it through.

  • Please pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ is propagated around the world.
Pray for strength to complete this endurance assignment.
Pray that there are no technical issues and that everything runs smoothly and seamlessly.
Pray that God would honor and bless every volunteer and person participating in any capacity.
Pray for Christians who are being persecuted around the world, that they would find healing, peace, and encouragement.

  • I hope this attempt reflects the truth of the scripture, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” My prayer is that believers would be encouraged to impact the world for good, living out their faith boldly and not hiding within church walls. Let your light shine.
